Our History

The Beginnings (1973)

The company was founded in 1973 by Christian d'Hauterive under the name Compagnie Dhaunier Ltée. From its earliest years, it stood out for the quality of its on-site work, particularly in the field of bridges and steel structures. Rigour, durability, and know-how: these founding values have guided the company from the start.

Growth and Specialization (1988)

In 1988, Peinture d'Hauterive Ltée was created to meet growing demand for shop-applied industrial painting. This expansion strengthened quality control and process consistency, two pillars that still define our approach today.

Family Succession (2009)

In 2009, the second generation of the d'Hauterive family took over continuity of the company. Driven by the commitment of Chantal, Mark, and Mike d'Hauterive, this transition honoured the family legacy while evolving practices, equipment, and management systems to meet the current requirements of infrastructure projects.
